"Sawing" blocks into slabs is an important step of the working schedule. After selecting and positioning the blocks on the carriage, based on height and material type, and deciding both the thickness and quantities of slabs needed, the frame is equipped. When the frame is ready, sawing blades are carefully positioned. Finally, when the computer has been programmed with the proper information regarding, for instance, the grit, and when all of further setup operations have been carried out, the frame is started. While sawing, the operator takes some samples in order to check the density of the circulating mixture (even when the machine is automatically operated) and constantly monitors the display of the panel, as well as the evenness of the rain, so as to be ready to correct any possible problem. The operations of adopting all precautionary measures and gradually modifying the parameters, whenever needed, will result into a perfect cut. When cutting operations have been completed, the carriage is carefully removed so as not to break the slabs, which will have to be thoroughly washed. Finally, the blades that need to be replaced or repositioned are removed, while the frame is ready for another “setup”.
