hydro-sculpted
The “Water jet” system allows treating the stone surface with a high pressure water jet; the factors that define the roughness rate of the processed slabs are as follows:
- working pressure;
- nozzle height;
- motion speed of both roller and nozzle.
The combination of these factors defines the finish.
Performance also depends on the hardness of the material, its composition and colour; different results are obtained with different materials. Therefore, the roughness rate may also vary accordingly.
This type of slab surface finish is respectful of the environment, because it does not pollute, or alter, original colours (it sometimes enhances them, indeed) and can be applied on very thin slabs, too.
Each decorative natural stone gets its own optimal working process: Oira's Classic Serizzo Antigorio, also known as “Oira's Stone” or “Classic Grey” is the best “hydro sculpture” result among the stones processed by Domo Graniti.
