BEOLA GHIANDONATA
Coarser-grained ortogneiss with an edged and pronounced orbicular texture; schistosity is rather coarse. The stone has a dark background colour, due to the biotite that is arranged on <pioda> planes; in fact, the colour on the foliation plane is bright black and provides some pleasant contrast with the white of the quartz and feldspar. The stone, which is cut based on the plane that contains the lineation - or the cut-off - the orthogonal plane with respect to the two main ones - has a background with grey-whitish edges alternating with thin black inclines. The design is completed by acorn-like elements surrounded by thin black inclines.
This grey natural stone is not suitable for being polished; its beauty is enhanced when faced, flamed or brushed.
Thanks to its limited extraction Beola Ghiandonata can be considered as a special and unique italien product to be used in the building industry and also for interior designs.
