BEOLA GRIGIA CLASSICA
|
Fine-to-medium grained gneiss. The pronounced schistosity follows closely spaced planes: these features result into a metamorphic rock that is mainly formed by quartz, feldspar and micas of a tabular aspect with a very fine texture.
"Beola grigia flower" slabs are not suitable for being flamed or polished. It is therefore usually supplied rough, processed with water, bushhammered or brushed.
"Beola grigia dorata" (golden) with raw surface, bushammered or waterjet with sandblasting effect, in the appropriate tickness, is suitable for flooring of pavements, roads and squares. It lends a warm tonality.
